Baked some cookies a week ago with choir friends, and honestly speaking, this is my (sort of) first time baking from scratch 'cos i'm usually way too lazy to get all the ingredients before hand. Thus, ready-mix pack is the way to go! However, I would say that baking from scratch is so much better as you have all the flexibility to adjust the proportion (sweetness etc) to suit your taste! Healthier too I would think, since all pre-pack mix such as Betty Crocker's are quite sweet!
454g of salted butter
200g of normal sugar
660g of brown sugar
50g of vanilla extract
680g or 24oz all-purpose flour
2 tsp of baking soda
1.5 tsp of baking powder
684g of semi sweet chocolate chips
*Do note that this is for 2 batches of cookies (1 batch~ 48 cookies). So, divide by two if you would like just 1 batch! We made really small cookies (since they will expand to a bigger size after baking) so had lots of cookie dough left! Think 1 batch you could make slightly more than 48 cookies in that way?
Would love to try making cream puffs someday! Anyone has some recipe to share? ^^
