Goodbye Weekends. Hello Monday!
Really thankful that my Mondays are relatively short. Lectures from 10-2pm and ta-da, that's the end of the day. Stayed up late last night to rush a couple of assignments and was feeling so tired this morning that I refused to climb out of bed. I knew I had to relax so right after lessons, I went to The Grandstand. It was an impromptu decision and I'm glad I went. Have been wanting to visit it since long ago, but always didn't have the time to do so.
Hence, today is my wanderlust Monday. It felt great to spend some personal time amidst busy school life.
| Bacon Cheeseburger ($16.90) |
Signature cheeseburger topped with high quality American bacon smoked in natural hardwood
| Regular French Fries ($3.95) |
100% trans-fat free USA potatoes harvested from the Pacific Northwest
Have been craving for fast food recently and decided to give Omakase Burger a try, and it was the right decision to do so. After trying the burger and fries, I doubt I would ever go back to McDonalds. The cheeseburger is really good as the beef patty is so tasty and succulent, unlike those from fast food restaurants which are flat and hard. The cheese is really fluffy and "cheesy" too, and not like those refrigerated kind of cheese slices which you buy from supermarkets. The bacon is the bomb, in addition to the already juicy beef patty and fluffy cheese. To top it off, the burger buns are really soft too, not the usual burger kind of buns. Everything just tastes so fresh and non-oily!
Though it was 'regular' fries, I was quite surprised at the generous portion. Slightly salted, not stuffed with oil, and very crispy shoestring fries. Only realised that they have other kind of fries after ordering. They have Sweet Potato Fries, Cheese Fries, Truffle Fries and Onion Rings. Definitely going back there again for the Sweet Potato Fries and the Truffle Fries.
