Stumbled upon a thrift store a while ago. I've always find thrift stores really wonderful as there's so many treasures and good finds in them! Some people might be cynical about second-hand clothing, but some of them are still in really good and almost brand new condition, so why the waste?
New2U Thrift Shop is managed by volunteers from the Singapore Council of Women's Organisation (SCWO). It is really a rare hidden gem situated between Bras Basah and Bugis. The shop sells pre-loved clothing, accessories, shoes, household items, oraments, books and etc. All goods are donated, and prices start from as low as S$1.00.
I went on a Tuesday and luckily for me, all students enjoy a half price discount on Tuesdays! Super happy with me loots!
Brown leather peep-toe heels from Charles and Keith ($5)
Brown felt pumps ($4)
Navy blue mesh overlay skirt from Cotton On ($3)
Electric blue pencil skirt ($4)
Grey knitted dress ($4)
Total: $20 ($10 after discount)
I now it sounds almost unbelievable, but it is true! I never knew that thrift stores exist in Singapore (besides Salvation Army). You should give it a visit too as you will always be surprised with what you find there every visit.
On 2nd week of each month, promotional items on that particular day will be on sale at $1 (only for those that are originally priced at $3)
