This is my second (third) visit to this lovely cafe! I would name this cafe as a hidden gem. Being a potato lover, I really enjoy and admire their wide variety of potato dishes. Not just affordable, they are really good too. The best thing is that there is no GST so it's great for the budget cafe-hoppers.
PoTeaTo: A very cute name with a little punny twist. Combining potato with tea, you can have the best of both worlds at the cafe. It is situated near Books Actually and Forty Hands Cafe, tucked away in one corner. Not many knows about its presence, so definitely a great place to chill and hang out with your friends. I would definitely pop by one day with my laptop to have a good read on a rainy day (December, I'm coming!)
Caution: Just remember that they do not open on Mondays! I foolishly headed down on a Monday some time ago and was really disappointed! Hard to find a backup plan too as most of the cafes at Tiong Bahru close on Mondays.
Fisherman's Pie $15
A very creamy bowl of potato with seafood inside. It tastes a little like a solidified Campbell clam chowder soup though.
Louisana Pork Ribs $18
Excellent BBQ ribs with super tender and juicy pork meat! Something I love about PoTeaTo main dishes is that their unique sauce brings out the taste so differently and sets them apart from other cafes.
Salmon & Roast $15
Really fresh salmon with roasted potatoes. Great combination which is completed by a garden salad portion. Another thing lovely about their salad is also the very special and tasty sauce which adds that extra bit to their already-awesome food.
Sweet Potato Fries $6.20
Mega love sweet potato so there is no reason to not love this. Totally worth me travelling down just to get this!
