Had a long yet fun 'New Year eve' eve, meeting Yingting for an impromptu Cafe-visiting, catching 'The Secret life of Walter Mitty", and ending the day off with a Sketch-a-Tote thanksgiving dinner (but sadly veron couldn't make it, so it was just adeline and me).
Have heard a lot about Strangers' Reunion from Instagram and blogs so was really happy that they are open on a Monday, which most cafes do not. We reached the cafe around 12pm and we were really glad that we didn't come any later as the cafe was already fully packed from noon.
Truffle Fries $12.90
We just had to order this after seeing so many pretty photos on Instagram. It is indeed great, although yingting says that it tasted like "petrol" in a good way. The truffle taste is strong and together with the grated truffle on the top and the sauce, it is simply heavenly. The portion is really huge too that we couldn't finish it and left without trying their really nice desserts (Waffles!!).
Florentine $17.90
with smoked Salmon, Spinach, Hollandaise sauce, Poached eggs and a side of mixed greens
I'm quite sure everyone should know my love for eggs since most of the brunch posts include eggs benny. What's there not to like about fluffy and runny eggs! :)
Fluffy Sandury Crepe with Smoked Salmon $17
Very seldom in Singapore do we find crepes. Normally, we get pancakes, waffles, but not crepes. When I was in Bangkok last year, I tried crepes for my first time and fell in love with it. Singapore cafes should plunge into this potentially-popular dessert haha.
We toured around Everton road and took some photos with really beautiful and overseas-looking buildings.

Craving for Korean food so we settled our dinner at this restaurant at Orchard central. The three of us were supposed to play "secret santa" where we draw lots and buy presents for the chosen name and I was adeline's santa!
Pork Ribs $28
Short pieces of marinated pork ribs
Army Stew $28
with noodles (additional of $2), sausages, pork belly, rice cakes etc and kimchi soup base
Apparently, it is called the "army stew" as it is what the soldiers eat in Korea, probably during field trips? I find it a little overpriced as the portion is rather small, though they said that it was for 2 pax. Nevertheless, it was really quite good, so if you are willing to splurge, I guess you will have a happy stomach.
