The Exchange

Finally visited brother chef at his restaurant/bar on Thursday night for a family dinner and to see chef Toh in action. Wasn't quite expecting the place to be so 'loud' and 'happening', packed with working people chilling and drinking. Throughout the dinner, we were practically screaming at each other to be heard. Nevertheless, I really enjoy the ambience. Probably I would head back there some day in the morning perhaps. Food is generally quite good although the price can be a little steep. Luckily we didn't need to pay for it.

P.s Three cheers to a free meal as brother used his credits to give us a treat :)

Truffle Fries $14

Haddock Fish and Chips $29
with homemade tartare sauce, shoestring fries and mushy peas

P.s There is no strand of hair in this photo, just that the crack on my camera lens got amplified here (#justclarifying)

Seared Tuna Steak $32
With romaine lettuce , tomato and olives

The Exchange Steak Sandwich $25
with melted cheese, mushrooms, onions and mustard marmalade

| Baguette slices with diced cocktail tomatoes |

The Bonfire
with smoked orange meringue torched lightly atop a bed of cocoa and strawberries
This dessert is inspired by the brother and his friends :p

Look at the pro brother chef working behind the counter, in the kitchen. Somehow he looks like some professional sushi master over some sushi bar in Tokyo.
