Afternoon at Dean & Deluca

Hooray, my only and final exam is (finally) over and that brings a perfect closure to my university life as well as my education journey. Although, I always believe that one learns more from informal education (everyday life experiences and learnings) than formal education. It is all about the application that matters.

Spent wednesday afternoon in town running some errands and chilling after dropping some parcels at the post office. Mega huge love for relaxing and carefree afternoons like these! Mailed parcels, shopped for some crafts materials, had some pancakes, watched a movie, did a little shopping before heading home.

Have always wanted to try Dean and Deluca's pancakes so decided to pop by since I was near Orchard Central.

| Berries and Flap Jacks with Ice-cream $21 |

Traditional American breakfast dish; oat and buttermilk pancakes served with maple syrup, mixed berries and vanilla ice-cream

After the first bite into the soft and fluffy pancakes, I wondered why have I not given up on Mcdonalds' hotcakes. Their pancakes are really soft, with some berries found inside. They are thick and soft, if that even makes sense, not like the usual pancakes with hard texture. As usual, anything with ice-cream doubles the satisfaction.

I love how Dean and Deluca is situated in Orchard Central, a quiet and elegant mall, which brings out the cosy vibe of the cafe. The store looks really sleek with white marble-tiled walls, silver chairs, black tables and yellow spot-lights. Just where i would love to spend my afternoon reading a book and taking a slower pace.

To happier days after graduation! While waiting for commencement in July, for these few months, I will be fully devoting my time and energy to Sketch-a-Tote and Sketch-a-Card! Am really grateful for the friends and lovely customers who stick by me all the time! My heartfelt gratitude to you! :) Better things will be coming
