[ADV] Essential | How to achieve Fuss-Free and Manageable hair

After perming my hair at KENJO Salon, I realized the importance of caring and maintaining your hair condition to achieve soft, fuss-free and manageable hair! Coincidentally and timely, the two new Essential products arrived at my door just a week later.

Essential Night Care Milk (100ml) | $11.90

This has officially become my favourite hair product. My hair needs to be washed every morning and this has been a habit that I've been keeping for the longest time ever. I simply couldn't stand the frizziness and messy hair every morning. Well, it was great to learn that the Essential Night Care Milk protects my hair from "Pillow Friction", which occurs when we toss and turn around at night, causing hair cuticles to be misaligned and create frizz, resulting in the messy lion's mane-hair that all girls hate in the morning. Hence, to tame it, we had to resort to washing it and manage the look before stepping out for school or work.

The Night Care Milk is very moisturizing and it acts as a cuticle coat protector and what's most important is that it is rich but non-greasy! So this is how you should use it:
  •   Use on towel-dried or damp hair, or before blow-drying
  •   Can also be used on dry hair
  •   Pump an appropriate amount onto palm
  •   Spread and apply evenly onto hair, concentrating on mid-length to tip of hair
  •   Do not rinse off.
  For better results, ensure that hair is completely dry before going to bed

Essential CC Oil (60ml) | $11.90

Besides the night care product, the Essential CC Oil comes in handy too especially when it comes to maintaining my hair throughout the day when I'm away from home. The concept is similar to BB or CC cream in skincare. Although the name reads "oil" but it is NON-OILY, light and it leaves my hair smooth and tangle-free. It coats each strand of hair with a cuticle coat protection to fight the 5 hair stresses that we face everyday! Here's how you can use it:
  •   Use on towel-dried or damp hair
  •   Pump an appropriate amount onto palm
  •   Spread and apply evenly onto hair, concentrating on mid-length to
    the tip of hair
  •   Do not rinse off
  Apply it in the morning and re-apply it as and when throughout the day when you need it
For optimum results, use after Essential shampoo and conditioner

These 5 cute stress(balls) come with the products too, each representing one common hair stress.

1. Blow drying
Caused by heat damage and friction, removing moisture from hair, leaving hair to be dry and brittle.

2. Combing
Friction to hair cuticles due to daily combing (Especially combing through wet hair as your hair is at its most fragile state). Friction could be caused by combing through dry hair, forming hair knots which makes hair prone to unnecessary breakage.

3. Split Ends
The ends of your hair are the oldest and driest parts, so when the protective hair cuticle is destroyed at the end of your hair, your hair splits into two or more parts.

4. Hair Breakage
Caused by daily heat styling, blow drying and brushing, tying your hair into a tight ponytail, twirling your hair with your fingers, exerting excessive stress on your hair, resulting in hair breakage.

5. Dryness
Dry hair that feels rough can be caused by exposure to the sun, wind or even air-conditioning. The hair cuticle that protects your hair is weakened and is unable to retain moisture within the cuticles of the hair.

The Essential team has even created a Essential's Mane Hero Facebook game for you to de-stress (hahaha pun, geddit?) and win attractive weekly prizes! Head over to combat the 5 evil Hair Stress Brothers and the Pesky Pillow King!

Both the Essential Night Care Milk and Essential CC Oil comes in small bottle sizes and definitely convenient for you to bring it with you wherever you go! A few pumps, a few massages into your hair and you are good to go. One for the night, one for the day; double hair protection all day long! These products helped me to achieve healthy, gorgeous and manageable hair day in and out, so try it out too!
